Since it’s Friday, I thought I would share a fun baby announcement I got to do a while ago. Our dear friends, Nate & Jessi, had one of the cutest little babies ever. Her name is Anne… I had the privilege of designing her baby announcements. Nate & Jess pretty much gave me freedom to do whatever I wanted… Jess does love flowers & one of her favorites is the daisy. So, I took that and ran… of course I found the cutest pink envelopes with a string to close it & added some coordinating thank yous! When you have such a sweet face to design around… you really can’t go wrong. See pics below.

So, we’re back-tracking a bit… but just wanted to share this fun project I did before Christmas. I had the fun time of designing a Christmas card for the McKee family. It is a flat Christmas card designed to fit in a beautiful Red #10 envelope that opens from the top. It is a simple yet fun design not taking the focus away from the pic but maybe actually complementing it… what a concept. The photography is by the one and only vagabond photography, it is always fun to work with Amanda. It makes my job as a designer so much easier and more fun when I have amazing pics to work with.

Everyone loved them, they thought they were just a little different than everyone elses.” {note from the designer: I love that they were just a little different than everyone elses, sounds like maybe they stood out from the crowd a bit. }

This is the third set of baby announcements in Bbs ‘everything happens in 3′s’. What a fun run it has been… so the parents wanted something surfer/beach but not overboard to announce their bouncing baby boy’s arrival. I have been reading lately about the importance of consistency… whether it is your blog , parenting, marriage… seems like it is good to be consistent in everything. (Besides that I think you are supposed to have a little fun in life and I so enjoy designing cards.) They say that things come in three… well after Judah’s announcements I have had two more to design & build. This one is from a repeat client — yay! that means they are happy with Bb . I got an email and their little boys name is Cody James, she told me it sounds ‘outlawish’ (I loved that!) and they wanted to go with a WANTED poster type announcement. This one was a lot of fun, see how they turned out below. Congrats to Andy, Jessi, Stevie & Hunter on your newest addition to the family!

Well… the day after. The 2009 NEMO Bridal Expo was a hit. There were vendors for everything from The Beach Body to Amazing different venues and photographer’s galore. There was even a gourmet ‘take home’ chef, (Gabbitas Gourmet) what a grand idea. The NEMO area is full of talent, services, products for your wedding day! It is great to have all this available in our area.

Brooke and I were marketing our wedding invitations. Her and Allen are pros when it comes to the Tradeshow/Expo world. They have been through it quite a few times and were kind enough to share tidbits of wisdom and also the wonderful display that Allen built to show off Brooke’s invites.

I set up my very first tradeshow booth and introduced the start of the Bb line of designer invitations. See below for the shots from the show and check back soon… each collection will be photographed and put online in the near future.

An attorney client wanted a classy Christmas card to wish Christmas greetngs announce her new business and office space. So, I had a monogram stamp made, then did a gold emboss on the front. Simple & elegant.
